Cobalt Aerospace has been granted Design Organisation Approval (DOA) by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Design Organisation Approval is positive verification from EASA that we have the required competencies in place to classify and approve aircraft modifications in line with regulations and certification requirements set out by EASA. We join a list of prestigious aviation businesses with DOA status, including the likes of Boeing, Rolls-Royce, and Airbus.
Our approval is thanks to successfully demonstrating our strong processes, resources, responsiveness, and organisational structure. EASA Design Organisation Approval is a significant achievement, as Director Ben Brown explains:
“This is a significant milestone for Cobalt Aerospace and represents a step forward for the business that we’ve worked hard to attain. Our DOA scope is a truly exciting element of our company’s growth, which will bring both opportunities for our customers and the means to bring our own products to market more quickly.”
Within the scope of our Design Organisation Approval, we are able to classify and approve changes and confirm when they are safe and airworthy.
Securing approval means we can now offer approval and certification services to our clients, giving them a fast, easy route to the skies for compliant products and aircraft.
