Bold and blue cabin lighting for youthful French airline Joon
Aimed at the millennial traveller, Air France subsidiary Joon needed a bold, stylish cabin interior to match their new boutique offering.
Cabin interior designers at Joon recognised how dramatically mood lighting can alter the aesthetics and atmosphere of an aircraft cabin, and wanted to invest in creating a comfortable, relaxed environment for passengers.
We worked with Joon to design a collection of lighting scenes that was at once clean, contemporary, relaxing and rejuvenating. We included a punchy electric blue lighting scene to reinforce the youthful, fun side of the brand, bright and beautiful white lighting for boarding and softer, peachy scenes for easing passengers into wakefulness on longer flights.
Combining design and digital technology
Cobalt Spectrum’s easy, fast installation process and efficient design also appealed to engineers and designers at Joon. Our lighting units are incredibly simple to install, and require no changes to the aircraft wiring, procedures or the Cabin Attendants panel. In addition, no special tools are needed to install Cobalt Spectrum – the team at Joon were able to simply remove the old lighting units, fit their new system and fly away!
