Today, our personal electronic devices hold so much information; from boarding passes to maps and important contacts. As such, leaving a flight with an empty battery and no access to this information can mean frustration, anxiety and delays. With Cobalt Unplugged, passengers can charge any Qi enabled device, be it phone, tablet or laptop, by simply placing it on a charging hot spot. These can be integrated into virtually any part of a cabin: arm rests, bar tops, tray tables – anywhere!
No cables, less clutter
Cobalt Unplugged units are small, lightweight and slim, and help to create a streamlined flying experience for passengers. However, don’t let their slight appearance fool you – they’re extremely robust and reliable. Thanks to their encapsulated design, they’re also immune from liquid ingress and protected from abuse; unlike conventional sockets. This all means that they’ll integrate beautifully into any cabin design, leaving designers no unsightly plug sockets or adaptors to hide.

Cobalt Unplugged units are suitable to work with a huge number of designs and cabins, and are available in a variety of mounting configurations. The units are powered using the existing DC bus or any suitable seat electronics box, so retrofit integration is simple and speedy. What’s more, we can guide you through every step of an integration project with our knowledge of certification, system safety, design and production, from an in-depth engineering review to delivering the finished product.
